The total number of marbles
=19+11
=30

The number of small green marbles
=11-6
=5

(we don't need to caculate the total number of green marbles here because it doesn't matter whether the large marbles are green or not)

The probability of marble selected is large or green
=19+5/30
=24/30
=12/15

hope it helps ^^

Answer:

Probability of getting a large or green marble is 4/5.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

Number of large marbles = 19

Number of small marbles = 11

Number of Green large marble = 5

Number of  white small marble = 6

To find: probability of selecting a large or green marble.

Total number of marbles in box = 19 + 11 = 30

Number of white large marble = 19 - 5 = 14

Number of green small marble = 11 - 6 = 5

Number of total green marble = 5 + 5 = 10

Probability=\frac{Number\:of\:favorable\:outcome}{Total\:number\:of\:outcome}

Probability (large or green) = P(large) + P(green) - P(both)

                                             =\frac{19}{30}+\frac{10}{30}-\frac{5}{30}

                                             =\frac{19+10-5}{30}

                                             =\frac{24}{30}

                                             =\frac{4}{5}

Therefore, Probability of getting a large or green marble is 4/5.

Answer:

x = 2

Step-by-step explanation:

By BPT

\frac{x + 1}{x}  =  \frac{6}{4}  \\  \\ 4x + 4 = 6x \\  \\ 4 = 6x - 4x \\  \\ 4 = 2x \\  \\ x =  \frac{4}{2}  \\  \\ x = 2

grandymaker [24]

we are given

A woman walks due east on the deck of a ship at 4 mi/h.

the ship is moving south at a speed of 24 mi/h

so, firstly, we will draw diagram

so, we have

OW=4

OS=24

now, we can use Pythagoras theorem

SW^2=OS^2+OW^2

now, we can plug values

and we get

SW^2=24^2+4^2

SW=24.33

so,

the speed of the woman relative to the surface of the water is 24.33 mi/h .......Answer

Which equation represents a proportional relationship between the x and y values? A) y + 4 = 3x B) y − 3x = 0 C) y + 5x = 6 D) y
Romashka [77]

Option is B) y-3x=0  represents a proportional relationship between the x and y values

Explanation:

Case 1 = y+4=3x

From the above equation we can see that if we change the value of x, the value of y does not changes by proportionality due to the presence of 4 .

Case 2: y-3x=0

From the above equation we can see that if we change the value of x, the value of y changes by proportionality.

Hence the correct option is B.

Case 3 = y+5x=6

From the above equation we can see that if we change the value of x, the value of y does not changes by proportionality due to the presence of 6.

Case 4 = y+1/4×x=2

From the above equation we can see that if we change the value of x, the value of y does not changes by proportionality due to the presence of 2.
