Hi there!

A dependent variable is one that is changed, when the independent variable changes.

For example, if we wanted to calculate how many dollars we've earned in a given amount of time, time would be the independant variable, because it is a constant and is not affected by how much many we earn. The amount of money we earned is directly affected by the independent variable, time.

Your answer is b.

Hope I helped!

Be sure to leave a "Brainliest" if I was helpful. Or not lol. I really don't care tbh XD

Answer:- Option b. is the right answer. A dependent variable is manipulated by changes to the independent variable.

Explanation:-

In mathematical modelling or scientific research  a variable is defined as a term that has a quantity that varies. There are two kinds of variables:- 1) dependent variables 2) independent variables.

A independent variable can be change by the experimenter to check the effects on dependent variables which is observed by the him in a scientific experiment.

Thus, A dependent variable is manipulated by changes to the independent variable.

Jacque needs to buy some pizzas for a party at her office. She’s ordering from a restaurant that charges a $7.50 delivery fee an
Shalnov [3]

Lets answer the information by making it look like a budget subtraction:

60 = Total

1. Remove the delivery cost, so you can leave the rest of the budget for your pizzas.

60 - 7.50 = 52.50

2. Now, subtract the cost of pizzas multiple times until you reach it to where you dont have enough for another pizza.

52.50 - 14 = 38.50  Pizza 1

38.50 - 14 = 24.50  Pizza 2

24.50 - 14 = 10.50  Pizza 3

Now, theres not enough to buy another.

So, we know that Jacque can only afford 3 pizzas, but she need to calculate the number of slices.

3. Multiply the number of slices by the number of pizzas.

8 x 3 = 24

So, the largest number is 24 slices.

Practice simplifying rational expressions with negative exponents.
Gelneren [198K]

Answer:

Part 1:- option first is correct

-\frac{1}{2}ab^{12}

Part 1:- option third is correct

\frac{w^{10}}{3y^{4}}

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

The given ration expressions are.

1. \frac{-2a^{2}b^{4}}{4ab^{-8}}

2. \frac{-5w^{4}y^{-2}}{-15w^{-6}y^{2}}

We need to simplify the given expressions.

Solution:

Part 1:-

Given expression is

=\frac{-2a^{2}b^{4}}{4ab^{-8}}

Using law of exponents \frac{x^{m} }{x^{n} } = x^{(m-n)}

=-\frac{a^{2-1}b^{4-(-8)}}{2}

=-\frac{a^{1}b^{4+8}}{2}

=-\frac{ab^{12}}{2}

=-\frac{1}{2}ab^{12}

Therefore, option first -\frac{1}{2}ab^{12} is correct.

Part 2:-

Given expression is.

=\frac{-5w^{4}y^{-2}}{-15w^{-6}y^{2}}

Using law of exponents \frac{x^{m} }{x^{n} } = x^{(m-n)}

=\frac{w^{4-(-6)}y^{-2-2}}{3}

=\frac{w^{4+6}y^{-4}}{3}

=\frac{w^{10}y^{-4}}{3}

=\frac{w^{10}}{3y^{4}}

Therefore, third option \frac{w^{10}}{3y^{4}} is correct.
