This is going to be very hard to explain but I will try my best...

Ok so you have to ordered pairs right and one of them is going to be ordered pair one and the other one is going to to be ordered pair two.

(3,5) is X1 and Y1

(5,8) is X2 and Y2

To find a slope of two ordered pairs there is a formula which goes like this...

X2 - X1
----------
Y2 - Y1

If we substitute it would be the following...

5 - 3
-------
8 - 5

Which would be...

2
---
3

So the slope of both lines is 2/3.

Hope this helped if further question please contact me :D

According to the Venn diagram, if P(A)=0.3 and P(B)= 0.35, what is P(A B)? <br>PLEASE HELP MEEE!!
STALIN [3.7K]

Answer:

A. P(A\cup B)=0.55

Step-by-step explanation:

From the Venn diagram,

P(A) = 0.3, P(B) = 0.35, and P(A\cap B) = 0.10

Therefore, from the rule of Addition of probabilities,

P(A\cup B )=P(A)+P(B)-P(A\cap B)\\P(A\cup B )=0.3+0.35-0.10\\P(A\cup B )=0.55

Therefore, option A is correct.

Joan and her brother Justin left a hotel at the same time, driving in opposite directions at constant rates. After traveling for
inessss [21]

Answer:

Joan drive with a speed of 55 miles per hour.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:- Travelling time (t) = 4 hours.

Travelled distance (d) = 480 miles.

Speed of Justin is 10 miles per hour faster than Joan.

To find:- Speed of Joan = ?

Solution:-

Let speed of Joan be x,

therefore speed of Justin = x+10          ---------------(from given)

Now, Total speed of Joan and Justin = x+x+10

Total speed of Joan and Justin = 2x+10 ------------(1)

Now formula for speed is,

Speed = \frac{distance}{time}

2x+10=\frac{480}{4}                        -------------(from 1 and given)

2x+10=120

2x=120-10

2x=110

\therefore x=\frac{110}{2}

\therefore x= 55

as x is the speed of Joan,

Therefore Joan drive with a speed of 55 miles per hour.
