3x + 8 < 15

Subtract both sides by 8.

3x + 8 - 8 < 15 - 8
3x < 7

Divide both sides by 3.

3x / 3 < 7 / 3
x < 7/3

So, to be in the solution set, x will have to be smaller than 7/3.

What is the slope of the line through the points (2, 8) and (5, 7)?<br><br>3<br>- 1/3<br>-3<br>1/3
cluponka [151]

Answer:

Option B

Step-by-step explanation:

In order to find the answer to this question you need to use the slope formula and solve by subtracting the numerator and the denominator.

slope=\frac{y^2-y1}{x^2-x^1}

x^1,x^2=(2,5)

y^2,y^1=(8,7)

Substitute:

\frac{8-7}{2-5}

Subtract:

8-7=1

2-5=-3

=\frac{-1}{3}

Hope this helps.

Figure ABCD is transformed to figure A prime B prime C prime D prime, as shown: A coordinate grid is shown from negative 5 to 0
maw [93]

Last option. The sequence that can be used to to get the figure A'B'C'D' is Reflection about the y-axis followed by a translation to the right by 1 unit.

<h3>How to get the reflection of the image</h3>

We have an opposite orientation in this question. This based on the fact that (ABCD)' is counterclockwise. While its reflection ABCD is clockwise.

The reflection has to go over a vertical line given that (CD)' and CD are at the bottom. Hence this reflection has to go over  a vertical line.
