First, let's see how much of the ribbon Liz cut off.

She cut off 9 pieces, and each piece was 2 inches, so you'll have to multiply 9 by 2 to see how many inches she cut off in total. Multiplying 9 by 2 is the same as adding
2+2+2+2+2+2+2+2+2!

2*9=18

18 inches of ribbon were cut off.

Now, you have to subtract 18 from 24 to find how many inches are left. You need to subtract because you have the total inches and the amount cut off, and they want to know how much she didn't cut off.

24-18=6

6 inches are left.

I hope I helped! :)

Which statements are true about the fully simplified product of (b minus 2 c)(negative 3 b + c)? Select two options.
Ket [755]

Answer:

The simplified product, in standard form, has exactly 2 negative terms. The simplified product has 2 terms.

Step-by-step explanation:

(b-2c)(-3b+c)

distribute and you will get

-3b^2+bc+6bc-2c^2

combine like terms

-3b^2+7bc-2c^2

A curve has the equation y = x^3 + 3x^2 − 16x + 2. a) Find an equation of the tangent to the curve at the point P (2, −10). Ive
Vesnalui [34]
The equation of the tangent to the curve at the point P(2, -10) is:
y = 8x - 26
f(x)=x^{3}+3x^{2}-16x
f'(x)=3x^{2}+6x-16
f'(2)=12+12-16=8
We need to find the coordinates of point Q where the slope of the tangent to the curve f(x) must also be 8.
f'(x)=3x^{2}+6x-16=8
Now we have a quadratic:
3x^{2}+6x-16-8=0
which simplifies to:
x^{2}+2x-8=0
which factorizes to:(x + 4)(x - 2) = 0
Therefore x = -4, 2.
f(-4) = 48
Therefore the coordinates of Q are (-4, 48).

slamgirl [31]
Well lets see, since it says 2 "different" scoops, you can do multiple combinations

mint + vanilla

strawberry + vanilla

chocolate + vanilla

then there is

mint + chocolate

mint + strawberry

lastly there is...

chocolate + strawberry

now add them.
