We have an equation: 3/8= 45/? (= x/y)

Cross multiply:
3*?= 8*45
⇒ ?= 8*45/3= 120

Final answer: y= 120~

Let's make things easier by simplifying things.

y = 8 and x = 3 is more likely to be understood as a ratio. So for the rest of the answer, their relationship would be represented as y:x

Thus: y:x = 8:3

The problem would be finding y when x = 45

Let us proceed on using the previous equation and substitute x with 45 which would look like this:

y:45 = 8:3

Ratios can also be expressed as fractions which would make things more understandable and easy to solve. So the new form of our equation would be like this:

y/45 = 8/3

Then we proceed with a cross multiplication where the equation becomes like as what is shown below:

3y = 45 * 8

From there, you can solve it by multiplying 45 and 8 then dividing the product with 3 to get y

3y = 360

y = 120

Another way of looking at the problem, especially problems like these, is to take the whole question or statement as an equation. it would probably look like this:

y = 8 when x = 3 : y = ? when x = 45

This would make you understand what approach you can use to solve the given problem.

Trigonometry functions is often employed in taking the measurement of the level or the pitch of a sound wave or musical note.

The change of amplitude of a sound wave's amplitude is linked to the change in pressure that occurs due to the wave measured at a given location.

Frequency tells the number of waves that pass a fixed location in a specific time frame.

How does sound waves relate to trigonometric functions?

Sound engineers uses the basic laws of trigonometry via sine and cosine graphs.

Note that all sounds can be broken down into a lot of sine waves, as sine waves comes together to form sounds.

Therefore, Trigonometry functions is often employed in taking the measurement of the level or the pitch of a sound wave or musical note.

Answer:  g = -4  and   h =1     or   g= -1  and h = -2

Step-by-step explanation:

If two exponents have the same base and are multiplied together, you will keep the base unchange and add the exponents.

So looking at the equation, the base is 2 for both and they are raised to the powers g and h, meaning that if g and h are added together they have to equal -3.

So find two numbers that their sum is -3.

For example, -1 and -2 add up to -3, -4 and 1 add up to -3.

while visiting a mountain, John approximated the angle of elevation to the top of a hill to be 25 degrees. Alfter walking 350 fe
strojnjashka [21]
There are several ways of going about this problem, but just know that it all boils down to triangles and the rules/laws of triangles.
So we start by making a large right triangle, because the hill is vertical with the horizontal ground, with 25° as the left angle (where John looks up to top), 90° is the right angle (where ground meets hill base). So we see that the top side of the triangle is the hypotenuse, and equals the line of sight from John to hilltop.
Now we've got additional information that if John walks 350ft towards the hill, his angle of elevation increases by 14. So that = 25+14 = 39. How does that possibly help us?? Well now we can make 2 triangles inside of the one we've already made. So that now we have the triangle base split between the left angle of 25° and where he stopped 350ft to the right of that.
Now the supplement of 39 is 141, and the remaining piece of that too left triangle = 180-25-141 = 14. What does that mean? Well now we have a triangle, where we know all 3 angles and 1 side --> we can find another side by the law of sines:
If a, b and c are the lengths of the legs of a triangle opposite to the angles A, B and C respectively; then the law of sines states:
a÷sinA = b÷sinB = c÷sinC
We really need the hypotenuse to then find our hill height, so we'll make hypotenuse = side b in attached image. That being so, then its opposite angle (B) = 141. And the top right angle (C) = 14 with its opposite side (c) = 350ft.
Now we only need b÷sinB = c÷sinC
So b/sin141 = 350/sin14 --> b = 350sin141/sin14 = 350×.63/
b = 220.3/.24 = 910.47 ft
Now that's our hypotenuse, so using our original large right triangle, we can use right triangular trig. to solve. Let's make the right side, our hill height, equal to x.
Sin ¥ = opp. side / hypotenuse -->
Sin ¥ = x / hypotenuse
Sin25 = x / 910.5
x = 910.5×sin25 = 910.5×.423
x = 384.8 ft
