Assessing the perineum for bulging is a nursing priority to a client at the second labor stage. A bulging perineum is caused by the presence of the fetal head against the perineal area and usually signifies imminent birth. Pain medication is not administered this close to the birth instead it crosses the placenta barrier and can cause respiratory distress in the newborn. During this second stage of labor the client is encouraged to push, not pant, with each contraction.

What can you say about the environments of these widely seperated layers
Alika [10]

Answer:

This means that the two separate rocks were once part of one piece of rock. These layers got separated most probably by continental drift as a result of tectonic plate movements. An example of such a fossil is the Mesosaurus, a freshwater crocodile-like reptile, that is found in Southern Africa and Eastern South America continents- that means they were once one land mass.

The environment in these two separate layers would most likely be different. As the layers drift apart from each other , they drift across latitudes that are determinants of climate in a region. Therefore, even the organisms in these two rock layers will evolve differently (even though they will share a common ancestor) in adaptation to respective environments – this is called allopatric speciation.

Do the properties of adhesion, cohesion, and surface tension behave different in salt water vs fresh water
Elanso [62]

Answer:

The water has a dipole that causes it to act like a magnet, attracting other water molecules to it. Adhesion is the attractive forces that cause water to "stick" to a surface other than its own. ... The salt water has a much lower cohesion than plain water so it's attractive forces are less than plain water.
