Answer:

438 units

Step-by-step explanation:

Given :R is the midpoint of QS , QR = 8x - 51 and RS = 3x-6

To Find : What is QS?

Solution:

Since R is the Mid Point of QAS

So, QR = RS

8x - 51=3x-6

8x - 3x=51-6

5x=45

x=9

QS = QR+RS

QS= 8x-51+3x-6

QS= 11x-57

x = 45

QS= 11(45)-57

QS= 438

Hence the length of QS is 438 units .

If R is the midpoint, then R splits QS into 2 equal sections. Therefore, QR = RS.

8x - 51 = 3x - 6
8x - 3x = -6 + 51
5x = 45
x = 45/5
x = 9

so QR = 8(9) - 51 : 72 - 51 = 21 and RS = 3(9) - 6 = 27 - 6 = 21
so QS = 21 + 21 = 42 <==

What is the value of z in the equation 2(4z − 6 − 6) = 170 − 46? 12.5 15.5 16.5 18.5
vivado [14]
2(4z - 6 - 6) = 170 - 46

2(4z - 12) = 124    |use distributive property: a(b - c) = ab - ac

8z - 24 = 124      |add 24 to both sides

8z = 148      |divide both sides by 8

z = 18.5

Can someone please help me with this question I don’t understand it
jonny [76]

Brand A: 32 Diapers, $8.99: about 28 cents per diaper

Brand B: 50 Diapers, $12.49: about 24 cents per diaper

You divide the amount of diapers by the money.

For example, 32 diapers/$8.99 equals about 28 cents per diaper and 50 diapers/$12.49 equals about 24 cents per diaper.

Brand B is the better deal since you save about 4 cents more.
