Let
a1=10 cm
a2=17 cm
a3=24 cm
a4=?

we know that
a2-a1=17-10-----> 7 cm
a3-a2=24-17----> 7 cm
a(n)=a1+(n-1)*7

find a4
for n=4
a(4)=a1+(4-1)*7------> a(4)=10+3*7-----> a(4)=31 cm

the answer is
31 cm

Which graph is the correct one?
cestrela7 [59]

Answer:

The upper graph

Step-by-step explanation:

We have two quadratic function here

y=-x^{2} +3x+5\\y=x^{2} +2x\\

If we perform the function f(x) + g(x), which is nothing more than the sum of the two functions, we obtain a linear function, since the quadratic terms are eliminated by themselves

yuradex [85]

Question:

Diners frequently add a 15% tip when charging a meal to a credit card. What is the price of the meal without the tip if the amount charged is $20.70? How much was the tip?

Answer:

Price of meal = $18

Tip price = $2.70

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the price of the meal be <em>y</em>;

Let the tip be <em>t</em>

<em></em>

<em>From the question;</em>

15% of <em>y </em>is the tip charge (<em>t</em>). i.e

t = 15%y

=> t = 0.15y          --------(i)

<em>The total amount charged is $20.70  (This means that the sum of the price of the meal and the tip is $20.70)</em>

=> y + t = 20.70            [substitute the value of t=0.15y from equation (i)]

=> y + 0.15y = 20.70

=> 1.15y = 20.70

=> y = \frac{20.70}{1.15}

=> y = $18

Therefore the price of the meal, y, is $18.

From equation (i),

t = 0.15y           [substitute the value of y = $18]

t = 0.15(18)

t = $2.70

Therefore the tip was $2.70

25 students in a class each bring in one pund of unpopped popcorn an average ear of corn has 400 kernels it takes 1,300 kernels
REY [17]
Since each student brings in 1 pound of unpopped popcorn...then there will be 25 pounds of corn! Since there are 1300 kernels to make a pound, you multiply 25 by 1300 = <span>32500, which is how many kernels. If every child brought 3 pounds: You would have to solve 25 * 3 = 75 pounds. Hope this helps!</span>
