Answer:

LINEAR: 1 person will take 9 hours, 3 people will take 3 hours

y = -3x+12

QUADRATIC: 1 person will take 12 hours, 3 people will take 4 hours

y = (x - 3)^2 + 4

Step-by-step explanation:

LINEAR:

This line has a negative slope, as it would logically take less time if you have more people. If this is linear, the slope is -1 * 6/2 = -3.

-3(2) + b = 6

-6 + b = 6

b = 12

y= -3(1) + 12 = 12 - 3 = 9 hours

QUADRATIC:

If you assume that 2 people take 6 hours, 1 person should take 12 hours.

Run a quadratic regression with diagnostics, and you'll get the equation

y = (x-3)^2+4 with 100% accuracy.

Then you'll find that 1 person took 12 hours, and 3 people took 4 hours

Approximate: log 5 ^4/7
wolverine [178]

Do you mean the following:

log(5^(4/7))=around 0.4

log(5)^(4/7)=around 0.815

log(5^4)/7= same thing as top one

log((5^4)/7)=around 1.95

Can someone pls pls help me?

Answer:

i think 88

Step-by-step explanation:

(it's been a while since I've done this so I'm not too sure it's correct)

The formula we need to use is

2πr(angle/360)

we need the radius (r)

To get r we need angle AES

180-80= 100

using the equation from before

88=2πr*(100/360)

raidus: 50.42

Then to get the length CD we need angle DEC

180-80=100

2π*50.42*(100/360)=88

there probably was some kind of shortcut we could've used to figure this out faster but whatever

39. Solve this system: 3x+y=-7 . 4x-y=14A. (–1, 10)B. (1, –10)C. (–1, –10)D. no solution
valkas [14]

Given,

The linear pair of the equation is,

\begin{gathered} 3x+y=-7 \\ 4x-y=14 \end{gathered}

Required

The solution of the linear equation.

Taking the equation first as,

\begin{gathered} 3x+y=-7 \\ y=-7-3x \end{gathered}

Substituting the value of y in second equation then,

\begin{gathered} 4x-y=14 \\ 4x+7+3x=14 \\ 7x+7=14 \\ 7x=7 \\ x=1 \end{gathered}

Substituting the value of x in first equation then,

\begin{gathered} 3x+y=-7 \\ 3(1)+y=-7 \\ y=-7-3 \\ y=-10 \end{gathered}

Hence, the solution of the system is (1, -10).

Please solve rational inequality and express in an interval notation<br> x-8/x+7&gt;0
Rudik [331]
X^2+7x-8>0 eliminating denominator Factoring (x+8)(x-1) must be positive so Case 1 both positive is x>-8 and x>1. For both to occur x>1 Case 2 both are negative (x+8)<0 and (x-1)<0 so x<-8 and x<1. For both to occur x<-8 Therefore x<-8 or x>1
