We are given a relationship (a function) between the ferryboat trips "c" and the number of cars transported per day.

f(c)=\frac{c}{20}

Also, we know that there are not more than 5000 cars transported by the ferryboat, so, let's make this value our input, in order to find the output (range) of the given function.

So, if

c=5000

Evaluating, we have:

f(5000)=\frac{5000}{20}=250

Hence, the range of the function knowing that there are not more than 5000 cars transported by the ferryboat (daily) the range is all the numbers that are less or equal to 250.

f(c)\leq 250

During the first hour he gets 0.25 of the way there: 0.25x

During the second hour he covers an additional 0.2 of the distance: 0.2x

During the third hour, he covers 0.3 of the distance: 0.3x

The total distance the biker traveled is:

0.25x + 0.2x + 0.3x = (0.25 + 0.2 + 0.3)x = 0.75x
