Hello!

First of all, we can subtract the stretching time. This gives us 20. If we divide by the four laps we get 5 minutes per lap.

Now, one lap is 400 meters (most tracks are), which is equal to 15,748.03 inches. This means it takes her five minutes to walk 15,748.03 inches. This is also equal to 300 seconds, so it takes her 300 minutes per 15,748.03 inches.

But if we round our big inches number to the nearest ten thousandth, we get 16,000, so in a simpler form her pace is 300/16,000. But we need to find in per second. Therefore we will divide by 300 to find how many inches she walks per second.  This means she walks about 53.33 inches per second.

I hope this helps!

Answer:

Clare spent a total of 25 minutes at the track.

She spent 5 minutes stretching and walked 4 laps around the track.

So, we can say the total time spent on the track can be denoted by :

5+4x=25 where x is the time it took her to walk one lap.

So, we can solve for x here to get how long did it take her to walk each lap.

4x=25-5

4x=20

x = 5

So, it took Claire 5 minutes to walk each lap.

For the second part of the question, we need the distance of a lap, which is not given.

Answer:

x=11

Step-by-step explanation:

You do 38/3x+3 and 19/x+7 and then cross mulitply and get 57x+57=38x+266. Then yoy subtract 57 from 266 and get 57x=38x+209. Now you have to subtract 38 from 57 and then answer will be 19. So now you have 19x=209. Finally you divide 209 by 19 and get x=11. Good luck!
