What is the percent chance of getting 5 twice if there is only a 1/12 chance of spinning the wheel on it. I multiplied the 1/12

by itself to get 1/144 and got a percent less that 0.8. Was I correct?

You are in fact correct, because the keyword there is "twice" and the 1/12 chance would be multiplying 1/12 alone, so the probability would be 0.8%. Once again, you are correct.

3/4 + (1/3 ÷ 1/6) - (-1/2) =?
stepladder [879]

Answer:

[See Below]

Step-by-step explanation:

✦ Turn fractions into decimals:

  • \frac{3}{4} =0.75
  • -\frac{1}{2} =-0.5
  • (We will do something different for \frac{1}{3} and \frac{1}{6}.)

✦ Divide:

  • \frac{1}{3} ÷ \frac{1}{6}=2
  • (Since the denominators are multiplies of each other we can divide them without having to change them into decimals.)

✦ Simplified Equation:

  • 0.75+2-(-0.5)

✦ Add:

  • 0.75+2=2.75

✦ Subtract:

  • 2.75-(-0.5)=3.25
  • (Subtraction rule is if there is 2 negatives next to each other in a problem it turns into a positive.)

✦ So your answer would be:

  • \frac{13}{4} (Exact Form)
  • 3~ \frac{1}{4} (Mixed Number Form)
  • 3.25 (Decimal Form)

Remer<br> 1) 5k? + 10k + 6 = 0
IceJOKER [234]

Ignoring the "?" in your question:

5k+10k+6=0 \iff 15k+6=0 \iff k=-\dfrac{6}{15}

If the "?" is a squared symbol that wasn't caught:

5k^2+10k+6=0

Use the quadratic formula

x_{1,2}=\dfrac{-b\pm\sqrt{b^2-4ac}}{2a}

to get the solutions:

x_{1,2}=\dfrac{-10\pm\sqrt{100-120}}{10}

as you can see, the discriminant is negative, so the equation has no solution.

How to <br> Swoop the decimal
ddd [48]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation: I don’t really understand what this means, but I think it might. For multiplication of decimals, you would move the decimal point to the left. For division, you’d move the decimal point to the right.
