Salmon live in both fresh water and salt water during their lives. they are born in fresh water nut migrate out to marine waters
for most of their life . eventually they return to the place they were born in fresh water to spawn. changing between fresh water and salt water affects the balance of water in their body Salmon have and internal control system called osmoregulation that restores the balance by negative feedback this is a example of which characteristic of life. 1. adaption 2.reproduction and development 3. response to the environment 4. energy transformation 5. maintaining homeostasis
Salmon have special adaptation behavior that allows them to live in both freshwater and saline water during their lives.
Salmons are born in freshwater where they spend few months and then move to saline water. For laying eggs, they again move to freshwater because eggs are unable to survive in saline water due to a process known as osmoregulation.
Moving from freshwater to ocean water, salmon adapt according to the environment for their survival.
