True. Beyond the initial functional division of the organization, further horizontal differentiation may be required if the firm significantly diversifies its product offering, which takes the firm into different business areas.

Often times problems come about due to coordination and control of different business sections if not present. If there are different product offerings, the business sections need to be divided into subcategories to make sure the products are getting the attention they need for differentiation.

Procter & Gamble’s June 30, 2016, financial statements reported the following (in millions): Cash, beginning of year $ 6,836
lina2011 [118]

Answer:

(9,594)

Explanation:

The net cash movement during a period the sum of cashflow from operations (CFO), cashflow from investing activities (CFI) and cashflow from financing (CFF) activities. On the other hand, that net cash movement is also calculated as the difference between end of year cash position and start of year cash position. Given that, we have the equation as below:

End of year cash position - Start of year cash position = CFO + CFI + CFF

Putting all the number together, we have:

7,102 - 6,836 = 15,435 - 5,575 + CFF

Solve the equation, we have CFF = (9,594)

Consider two processes. If both versions create the same benefit, but one costs more than the other, the higher-cost version is less Efficient than the lower-cost version.

What is Process Quality?

Process Quality = measured in two dimensions: process effectiveness and process efficiency

Effective Business Process = enables the organization to accomplish its strategy. ex: investigating whether 3D printing will help accomplish the strategy of having the largest selection of parts in the industry

Efficiency Business Process = the ratio of benefits to costs. ex: consider two versions that create the same benefit, but one costs more than the other does, meaning the higher-cost version is less efficient than the lower-cost version/if both versions cost the same, but one generates less benefit than the other, then the lower-benefit one is less efficient.

Assume personal tax rates are lower than corporate tax rates. From a tax-paying shareholder point of view, how should a firm spe
ASHA 777 [7]

Answer: e. repurchase shares

Explanation:

If the personal tax rates are lower than corporate tax rates then the company should engage in an activity that would put money into the pockets of shareholders such that they would take advantage of the lower personal tax rates.

The best way to do that would be a share repurchase. The company would probably buy at above market rates which would give shareholders capital gain and they wouldn't have to pay much taxes on it as personal rates are lower.
