The complete question can be found in the attached file

Find the number of feet represented by 1 inch In pete's blueprint (scale factor)

4 inches---------- > 3 feet=4/3 in/ft

1) 4 inches (pete's blueprint )------------ >3 feet (actual length)

16 inches----------------------------------- > X

X=16*3/4=12 feet

The actual length of the side wall is 12 feet

2) 4 inches (pete's blueprint )------------ >3 feet (actual length)

X------------------------------------------- > 33 feet long

X=33*4/3=44 inches

The length of the back wall in the blueprint is 44 inches

3) How do you know your answer to 2 is reasonable?

We know that scale factor is 4/3 in/ft

I proceed to check it

length of the back wall in the blueprint is --------------- >44 inches

length of the back wall in the actual house --------------- >33 feet

44/33=4/3----------------- > is ok------- > the scale factor is correct

The answer is reasonable

A prime polynomial cannot be written as a product of lower-degree polynomials. Which polynomial is prime? A)8x2 – 10x – 3 b)8x2
Zanzabum

Answer:

Option (A) and (C).

Step-by-step explanation:

Prime polynomial can't be written as a product of lower degree polynomials.

(A)

8x^2-10x-3

=8x²-6x-4x-3

=2x(4x-3)-1(4x+3)

Here we can't write the polynomial as a product of lower degree.

Therefore it is a prime polynomial.

(B)

8x²+2x-3

=8x²+6x-4x-3

=2x(4x+3)-1(4x+3)

=(4x+3)(2x-1)

Therefore it is not a prime polynomial.

(C)

8x²-6x-3

Therefore it is a prime polynomial.

(D)

8x²+23x-3

=8x²+24x-x-3

=8x(x+3)-1(x+3)

=(x+3)(8x-1)

Therefore it is not a prime polynomial.

What is the area of the figure? Answer in decimal form to the nearest hundredth.
sineoko [7]

Answer:

35.75 meters squared

Step-by-step explanation:

The area of a trapezoid is denoted by: A=\frac{(b_1+b_2)*h}{2} , where b_1 and b_2 are the bases and h is the height.

Here, the two bases are 7 1/2 and 5.5 meters and the height is 5.5. So, just plug in the values:

A=\frac{(7\frac{1}{2}+5.5)*5.5 }{2}

7 1/2 is the same as 7.5: A=\frac{(7.5+5.5)*5.5 }{2}=\frac{(13)*5.5}{2} =35.75

Thus, the area is 35.75 meters squared.

Hope this helps!

The diagonals of rhombus ABCD intersect at E. Given that m∠CAD=20° and CE=4, find the m∠CDA.
V125BC [204]

Answer:

< CDA = 140 degrees

Step-by-step explanation:

For a rhombus, the sum of the interior angles is 360 degrees and also the opposite angles are equal i.e <ABC = <CDA and <BAD = <BCD

Given

<CAD = 20 degrees

<BCE = 20 degrees (based on geometry)

<BAD = <CAD + <BCE

<BAD = 20 + 20

<BAD = 40 degrees

Since <BAD = <BCD, then <BCD = 40 degrees

Get <CDA

<CDA + <ABC + <BAD + <BCD = 360

<CDA + <CDA + <BAD + <BCD = 360

2 < CDA + 40 + 40 = 360

2< CDA + 80 = 360

2< CDA = 360-80

2< CDA = 280

< CDA = 280/2

< CDA = 140 degrees
