The difference of two numbers is not always less at either of the two numbers. (especially for negative numbers)

Take fo example, 40 - 30 = 10.
Here the difference is less than both two numbers.

But in 40 - 15 = 25
Here the difference is less than one of the numbers but greater than the other number.

Now consider, -3 and -5, their difference is given by (-3) - (-5) = -3 + 5 = 2.
Here, 2 is greater than both -3 and -5.

Therefore, The difference of two numbers is not always less than either of those two numbers.
