Well to solve this, we need to multiply. Since he can do 24 payments of $95, that would cost $2280 or 30 payments of $80, that would cost 2400. So doing 24 payments of $95 is the cheapest option and it is cheaper by $120. Hope this helps!

So to answer this question all you really need to do is to multiply this so you would do 24 times 95 that would get you 2 280 and for the other one you could do 30 times 80 witch would get you to 2 400 so option one is easier:)

Simplify the following expression.
HACTEHA [7]
Remember that exponentioal rule
x^m times x^n=x^(m+n)
therefor
7^4 times 7^-6=7^(4-6)=7^(-2)
remember the other rule
x^-m=1/(x^m) so
7^-2=1/(7^2)=1/49

arthur wants to buy an item that costs p dollars before tax. using a 6% sales tax rate, write two different expressions that rep
Mkey [24]

For this case we have the following variable:

p: cost of the item that Arthur wants to buy before tax

The expression for the 6% tax is given by:

\frac{6}{100} p

Or equivalently:

0.06p

Therefore, two different expressions for the total cost are:

Expression 1:

p + \frac{6}{100} p

Expression 2:

p + 0.06p

To prove that they are equal, suppose that the item costs $ 100:

Expression 1:

p + \frac{6}{100} p

100+ \frac{6}{100} 100

100 + 6

106

Expression 2:

p + 0.06p

100 + 0.06 (100)

100 + 6

106

Since the cost is the same, then the expressions are the same.

Answer:

Two different expressions that model the problem are:

p + \frac{6}{100} p

p + 0.06p

Ginger's baby weighed only 3 3/8 pounds when it was born. The doctor said it could not leave the hospital until it weighed 5 1/2
Elanso [62]
<span>To subtract 3 3/8 from 5 1/2,
by turning into fractions
</span><span>[(5x2)+1]/2 = 11/2
</span><span>[(3x8)+3]/8 = 27/8
</span><span> 11/2 - 27/8
</span>To subtract fractions, your denominator needs to have the same number. so multiply it by 4
 44/8 - 27/8 = (44-27)/8 = 17/8.
17 / 8 pounds or 2 and 1/8 because 17 / 8 = 2 remainder 1.
<span>In terms of weight that is 2.125 pounds.</span>
