You first start with the ratio:
12:28

Now you see what goes in it, seems like 2, because it's an even number.
12 / 2 = 6
24 / 2 = 12

6:12 can still be divided.
6 / 2 = 3
12 / 2 = 6

3:6 is the final product, now we have to turn it into a fraction.

3 is half of 6 so we could turn it into a one and a half fraction.
1/2

Our final product will be 1/2.

Hope this helps!~

Water flows down the Mississippi River at about 1.2 miles per hour
Angelina_Jolie [31]

Answer:

Continuous

Step-by-step explanation:

The rate of flow of water down the river is referred to as its speed. Thus the speed changes with respect to the distance covered. Which implies that there is a direct relationship between the distance covered (in miles) by the water flow and time taken (in hours).

The relationship between hours and miles the water traveled is continuous.

WHICH INEQUILITY IS EQUIVALENT TO X-4<9
frez [133]

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Answer:  \textsf{x} < \textsf{13}

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Given:  \textsf{x - 4} < \textsf{9}

Find: \textsf{The simplified inequality}

Solution:  In order to simplify the inequality we can simply add 4 to both sides which would isolate x.

<u>Add 4 to both sides</u>

  • \textsf{x - 4 + 4} < \textsf{9 + 4}
  • \textsf{x} < \textsf{9 + 4}
  • \textsf{x} < \textsf{13}

Therefore, an inequality that would be equivalent to the one that was provided in the problem statement is x < 13.
