Many of the criticisms that can be directed against a free market economy is that people are said to enjoy the possibility to engage in legal free enterprises regardless of the consequences, like the impact they have on the environment, the living conditions of the workers, or the strain on poor nations. Other, more specific examples, would be the hiring of human wombs in Eastern Europe by rich Europeans: the latter know the price that must be paid for a mother-for-rent though they know not the value of human life and dignity.
