For 1, you need to convert the blank spaces into either feet or inches (the top spaces will be feet and the bottom spaces will be inches).

2 is the same thing, except the top blank spaces will be inches and the bottom spaces will be feet. A ratio is a fancy word for fraction, in this case: inches over feet. To find what each ratio is equal to, divide the top number by the bottom number of each ratio, and that is your answer.

3 is also simple. Try not to overthink it! Make the equation y=. So, you want it to look like inches=a number of feet * feet. This is just what you use to convert feet to inches, if that makes better sense.
If you need more help on the equation, ask me. You can ask me if you got the correct equation if you would like. :)

Hope this helps!

Which is a solution to (x-2)(x+10)=13
STALIN [3.7K]

Answer:

make An equation for both of the numbers in the parentheses .

Step-by-step explanation:

this is how it should look x -2 would be x =15, because you add 2 on both sides , now you have x=15 which should be the answer because 15 is now x and 15 minus 2 = 13

now for the second one

first subtract 10 on both sides then you should get the answer X equals three the reason why it’s like that is because 3 is now x and 3 + 10 = 13.

Hope this helped have a good day :D

Whitepunk [10]

Answer:

the cost will be Rs 350

Step-by-step explanation:

The Scateboard cost Rs 450 each in the local store,The shop keeper says if I buy 1 I can buy another for only \frac{7}{9} of the normal price. We are asked to determine the cost of a second scateboard .

Hence the cost will be \frac{7}{9} of the normal cost that is

\frac{7}{9} \times 450

7 \times 50

350

the cost will be Rs 350
