You would:

31.36 divided by pi and that will give you r2
you would then need to divide r2 by 2 to get the radius and there is your answer
I got:
9.982 for the first part
then 9.982 divided by 2= 4.991 for my final answer
I hope this helps

Find the equation of the line through the point (2, 5) that cuts off the least area from the first quadrant. Give your answer us
Amanda [17]

The equation of the line would be

y = mx+b

where m is the slope, b is the y intercept.

<span>The line will form a triangular region in the first quadrant. Its area would be 1/2 base times height. The height is the y intercept and the base is y intercept divided by slope. Therefore,</span>

A = b^2/2m

At point (2,5)

5 = 2m+b

Substitute that in the area

A = b^2/5-b to find the least area, differentiate the area with respect to the height and equate it to 0

dA/db = 0

<span>find b and use that to find m. Then, you can have the equation of the line.</span>

Find m∠U.<br> Write your answer as an integer or as a decimal rounded to the nearest tenth.
AleksAgata [21]

Answer:

50.2

Step-by-step explanation:

ut =  \sqrt{ {6}^{2}  +  {5}^{2} }   \\  \sqrt{36 + 25}  \\  \sqrt{61 }  \\ using \: cosine \: rule \\ cos \: u =  \frac{ {5}^{2} + 61 - 36 }{2 \times 5 \times  \sqrt{61} }  \\  \\  =  \frac{25 + 61 - 36}{78}  \\  \\  = \frac{50}{78 }  \\  \cos \: u = 0.64 \\ m \:u = 50.2
