You have to work backwards. Add the two fractions together. That's 3/4. If you end up with 6, then 6 is 1/4 of the amount of candies you had in the first place. Multiply 6 by 4 to get the answer. :)

First, you multiply the number by 2, to find how many you had before you ate 1/2 of the candies.

6*2=12

Next, you would divide the number you just got, in this case it would be 12, by 3, because there is 3/4 of the original candy left

12/3=4

This means 1/4 of the original candies was 4, so you add 4 to 12 to find the final answer.

4+12=16

You had 16 candies in the beginning.

Let me know if this doesn't make sense.

Step-by-step explanation:

make them less than or equal to signs, I don't know how to do that on a computer, I hope I am correct

point one on the left is -6, point 2 on the right is 0 (in terms of the x-axis, that's what domain is )

when there is arrows in the graph, the x/y is always in the middle.

Good luck! Hope I'm not late!

The lumberyard where you work sold a customer two boards . They measure 10 1/4 feet and 8 2/4 feet what is the total of the two
Lelechka [254]
If you add the two numbers, 10 +8 is 18.  The fractional parts are 1/4 and 2/4 which equals 3/4.  So the total length is 18 and 3/4 feet.
