Sum of the radius of the base and height of a cylinder is 21 cm and the curved surface area of the cylinder is 616 sq.cm,find th
Kobotan [32]

Step-by-step explanation:

lets radius be r and height be h,

r+h=21 -----(1)

curved surface area

2×pi×r×h=616 -----(2)

use simultaneous eqn to solve for r and h.

total surface area of cylinder= 2×pi×r×h + 2×pi×r²

= ans if im not wrong

Find the value of x if g(x) = - 18 for g(x) = 2x - 8
nalin [4]

Hi there!

\large\boxed{x = -5}

Find the value of 8 by substituting in -18 for g(x):

-18 = 2x - 8

Add 8 to both sides:

-10 = 2x

Divide both sides by 2:

-10/2 = 2x/2

x = -5

PLEASE HELP WITH #14 AND #7 PLEASE A.S.A.P !!!
kodGreya [7K]

Answer:

7.) 16.7

Step-by-step explanation:

7). First you have to find the length of the line with the triangle that is at a 90 angle with the longest side of the triangle

Using the pythagrorem theorem a² + b² = c²

4² + b² = 5²

b² = 5² - 4²

b² = 25 - 16

b² = 9

√b² =√9

b = 3

next you do the same thing to find the missing segment of the longest side

3² + b² = 13²

b² = 169 - 9

b² = 160

b = √160 or  ≈ 12.7

12.7 + 4 = 16.7

so 16.7 is the length of that side
