Answer:

r = -29/20 or r = -1.45

Step-by-step explanation:

I believe you are saying that the equation is -2 1/4 = r - 4/5. If so, then I would solve it in this way:

-2 1/4 = r - 4/5

-9/4 = r - 4/5

-9/4 (20) = r (20) - 4/5 (20)

-45 = 20r - 16

20r = -29

r = -29/20

r = -1.45

Check:

-2 1/4 = r - 4/5

-9/4 = r - 4/5

-2.25 = r - 0.8

-2.25 = -1.45 - 0.8

-2.25 = -2.25

-9/4 = -9/4

Evaluate the expression below when x = 4, y = 5

3(y-x) + 4y
likoan [24]

Answer:

23

Step-by-step explanation:

Brackets go first, 5 (y) - 4 (x) = 1. Now, 3 x 1 = 3, you do this because of the 3 next to the brackets. Now add them together.

I think the answer is A

Correct?
xeze [42]

You can see that there are 6 rock CDs, over a total of

6+10+4+8+12 = 40

So, the ratio of rock CDs over the total number of CDs is

\dfrac{6}{40} = 0.15

Which is 15%.

So, yes, the answer is A

1.Which explains why the sequence 216, 12, 2/3 is arithmetic or geometric?
Free_Kalibri [48]

Hi Timothy,

1.Which explains why the sequence 216, 12, 2/3 is arithmetic or geometric?

Answer - C.The sequence is geometric because it decreases by a factor of 1/18

The reason I chose C is the fact that the numbers go down greatly, and it has to to be geometric because when you are trying to solve the problem with arithmetic you don't get and exact rule for how to solve the problem.
