If we take the perimeter of the park as being equivalent to the distance that Anwar walks, then we can calculate the number of blocks he walks and then multiply this by the width of each block, thus:

Number of blocks walked = 1 + 2 + 2 + 1 + 1 + 1 = 8
Distance walked = 8*300 = 2400 feet

(You could also draw a diagram to help present this in a visual way but it is not necessary)

Since each block is 300 feet wide... You might have to draw this if needed.

1 block south = 300
2 blocks west = 600
2 blocks north = 600
1 block east = 300
1 block south = 300
1 block east = 300

Add them up: 2400 feet

Just add up all the sides :)

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

1) ABCD is a trapezium. AB ║ CD

∠ADC + ∠DAB  = 180°  { Co interior angles}

110° + ∠DAB = 180

         ∠DAB = 180 -110

∠DAB = 70°

2) Sum of all angles of trapezium = 360°

∠A + ∠B + ∠DCB + ∠D = 360

70° + 50° + ∠DCB + 110° = 360

                 230 + ∠DCB = 360

                            ∠DCB = 360 - 230

∠DCB = 130°

3) For finding the height, use Pythagorean theorem

height² + base² = hypotenuse²

      height² + 6² = 10²

      height² + 36 =100

               height² = 100 - 36

              height² = 64

               height = √64

height = 8 m

4) a = AB = x m

  b = 9 m

h = height = 8 m

Area of trapezium = 120 m²

\frac{(a+b)*h}{2}\\\\  = 120

\frac{(x+9)*8}{2} =120\\\\\\(x +9)*4 = 120

x + 9 = 120/4

x + 9 = 30

    x = 30 - 9

x = 21 m

AB = 21m

PLEASE HELP AS SOON AS POSSIBLE THANK YOU!!
nataly862011 [7]

Answer:

We know that when x= -10, y= -17.

So, if we put those into direct variation "y=kx", we get

-17= k(-10)

k   = -17 / -10

Now we put the value of "k" into the formula and we get A (y= 17/10x )

Equation for the points (3,8) (2,6) on slope
Irina18 [472]
\frac{8-6}{3-2} = \frac{2}{1}=4

The slope is 2

y=2x + b

Plug in a point to solve for b
8 = 2(3) + b

8 = 6 + b
b = 2

The equation is y = 2x + 2

Which equation represents the line that has a slope of 4 and passes through the point (2, 7)?
IrinaK [193]

Answer:

A) y = 4x - 1

Step-by-step explanation:

y = mx + b

y = 4x + b

7 = 4(2) + b

7 = 8 + b

-1 = b

y = 4x - 1
