In physics, if a moving object has a starting position at s 0, an initial velocity of v 0, and a constant acceleration a, then t

he position S at any time t > 0 is given by:
S = at 2 + v 0 t + s 0.

Solve for the acceleration, a, in terms of the other variables. For this assessment item, you can use ^ to show exponents and type your answer in the answer box, or you may choose to write your answer on paper and upload it.

Actually the position function with respect to time under constant acceleration is:

a=g

v=⌠g dt

v=gt+vi

s=⌠v

s=gt^2/2+vit+si

So if vi and si are zero then you just have:

s=gt^2/2

Notice that it is not gt^2 but (g/2) t^2

So the first term in any quadratic is half of the acceleration times time squared because of how the integration works out...

Anyway....

sf=(a/2)t^2+vit+si

(sf-si)-vit=a(t^2)/2

2(sf-si)-2vit=at^2

a=(2(sf-si)-2vit)/t^2  and if si and vi equal zero

a=(2s)/t^2

Step-by-step explanation:

The equation of a moving object in physics is given by :

s=at^2+v_ot+s_o...........(1)

Where

s₀ is the starting position of an object

a is the acceleration of the object

v₀ is the initial velocity of the object

t is the time taken

We need to find the value of acceleration by rearranging equation (1). Subtract (v_ot+s_o) on both sides of equation (1) as :

s-v_ot-s_o=at^2

Divide both sides of above equation by t² as :

a=\dfrac{s-v_ot-s_o}{t^2}

So, the value of acceleration is \dfrac{s-v_ot-s_o}{t^2}. Hence, this is the required solution.

Ms. Crane has a jar with 6 white marblos, 4 red marbles, and 5 blue marbles. If
liraira [26]

Answer:

11/15

Step-by-step explanation:

To find probability, you divide whatever you're looking for over your total. In this case, you have 11 marbles that are not red, and 15 marbles total, so your answer would be 11/15.

A trapezoid has an area of 80 square centimeters. If the trapezoid has a base measuring 8 centimeters and a height of 8 centimet
jeyben [28]
Let
x-------> the length of the base one
y------> the length of the base two

we know that
area of an trapezoid=[x+y]*h/2----> 2*A/h=x+y----> y=[2*A/h]-x
area=80 cm²
x=8 cm
h=8 cm
y=?
y=[2*A/h]-x----> y=[2*80/8]-8-----> y=12 cm

the answer is
<span>the length of the other base is 12 cm</span>

1. A quadrilateral has vertices A(0,0), B(8,0),C(7,5), and
babunello [35]

The formula for the distance between two points is

d(A,B) = \sqrt{(A_x-B_x)^2+(A_y-B_y)^2}

Note that, if two points have one coordinate in common, this formula simplifies to

d(A,B) = |A_x-B_x|,\quad d(A,B)=|A_y-B_y|

(the first if they share the y coordinate, the second if they share the x coordinate).

So, these are the lengths of the sides:

d(A,B)=|8-0|=8

(because they share the y coordinate)

d(B,C) = \sqrt{(8-7)^2+(0-5)^2}=\sqrt{1+25}=\sqrt{26}

(standard formula)

d(C,D)=|7-3|=4

(because they share the y coordinate)

d(A,D) = \sqrt{(0-3)^2+(0-5)^2}=\sqrt{9+25}=\sqrt{34}

\frac{1}{5}k-9=\frac{3}{5}k-7
Oksi-84 [34.3K]

let start by multiplying both sides by the LCD of all denominators, in this case that'd be 5, to do away with the denominators.

\bf \cfrac{1}{5}k-9=\cfrac{3}{5}k-7\implies \stackrel{\textit{multiplying by }\stackrel{LCD}{5}}{5\left( \cfrac{1}{5}k-9 \right)=5\left( \cfrac{3}{5}k-7 \right)}\implies k-45=3k-35 \\\\\\ -45=2k-35\implies -10=2k\implies \cfrac{-10}{2}=k\implies -5=k
