He wants x in function of the diference of a and b: F(a-b) = x
ax = bx + 1
ax - bx = 1
x(a - b) = 1
x = 1/(a-b)

In a music competition, a participant has to score a total of 40 points in the first four rounds combined to move on to the 5th
Salsk061 [2.6K]

Answer:

x ≥ 12

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that :

Total points required = 40

1st round point = 4

2nd, 3rd and 4th round points are identical

Let the point number of points = x

2nd + 3rd + 4th = 3

1st round + 3(x) ≥ 40

4 + 3x ≥ 40

3x ≥ 40 - 4

3x ≥ 36

x ≥ 12

Two accounts each begin with a deposit of $9000. Both accounts have rates of 3.1%, but one account compounds interest once a yea
Elodia [21]
<h3 />

Given : Initial deposit or the principal amount = $ 9000

Rate of interest = 3.1 %

Compound interest annually

= principal (1 + r/ 100)^t

here put value principal rate and time period 1, 5 10 and 20 years

and we get the  amount for each time period

than for interest = amount - principal we get interest

as that we calculate all value:

given in the attachment

<h3>When do we use compound interest ?</h3>

When interest on a balance in a savings or investment account is reinvested, you receive compound interest, which results in higher interest payments. Money makes money, a wise man once said. And money makes money by making more money. Compound interest speeds up the long-term growth of your savings and investments.

The expression x + 7 will determine how many cats Staci has.

Since Staci has 7 <u>more</u> cats than Taylor (x), we know the expression uses addition.

the sides of a triangle are 3 whole 1 by 6 cm 4 whole 2 by 3 cm and 5 whole 2 by 3 cm. Find the total length of the three sides
Lyrx [107]

Answer:

16\frac{2}{3}cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Given dimensions:

           3\frac{1}{6} cm by 4\frac{2}{3}cm  by 5\frac{2}{3} cm

The total length:

 it is the sum of all the sides;

         \frac{19}{6}  + \frac{14}{3}   + \frac{17}{3}

LCM of the denominators = 6 ;

   \frac{38 + 28 + 34}{6}  = \frac{100}{6}

                 = \frac{50}{3}

                 = 16\frac{2}{3}cm

How to round to the nearest dollar add or subtract
Setler [38]
Okay Abrahammontiel1, the thing you must remember is any thing that is 5 or over must be rounded up and anything lower must be rounded down.
Example:
$2.30
since we want to round to the nearest dollar we look at the digit behind the whole dollar, which in this case is 0.3
and since it's lower that 0.5 we must round down
So it will look like this: $2

If we had a number like $4.72
we would look at the 0.7
and since it is greater that 0.5 we would round  up so that it would equal $5
