Find the negative reciprocal of the given line's slope in order to determine what the slope of the line will be.

-2/5 -> -5/2 -> 5/2

Your line now looks like this: y = 5/2x + b

Now, substitute the given point into the y and x variables and solve for b.

 y = 5/2x + b
 -3 = 5/2(2) + b
 -3 = 5 + b
 -8 = b

You are now done. The line is y = 5/2x - 8.

To get a perpendicular line to y=-2/5x+6 all you need to do is get the negative reciprocal of the slope then use (2,-3) and point slope formula to get your new equation.

y=-2/5x+6

m=-2/5 so new equation slope is m=5/2

y−b=m(x−a) or y-y1=m(x-x1)

point is (2,-3)

plug and chug

y-(-3)=5/2(x-2)
y=5/2x-8

For number 7:

a) The sum of the adjacent angles is 180. Because if its any three angles thats half of the angles all together 3/6 = 180/360.

b) The sum of the angles in the center is 360 degrees. Because 60 x 6 = 360.

c) The unknown angles (center angles) are 61.25 degrees.

For number 8 (bonus):

It's C) 90 Degrees, because it's a right angle.

Hope this helps :)

Area of circle with diameter of 1 m?
Elena-2011 [213]

Answer:

A = 0.785m²

B = 31400cm²

C = 7850cm²

D = 785,000mm²

Step-by-step explanation:

To solve this question, we'll have to find the area of a circle which is

Area of a circle = πr²

1. The diameter of the circle = 1m

Area of a circle = πr²

r = radius of the circle

π = 3.14

Radius = diameter / 2

Radius = 1 / 2 = 0.5m

Area = 3.14 × (0.5)²

Area = 3.14 × 0.25

Area = 0.785m²

2. Radius = 100cm

Area of a circle = πr²

Area = 3.14 × (100)²

Area = 3.14 × 10000

Area = 31400cm²

3. Diameter = 100cm

Area = πr²

Radius = diameter / 2

Radius = 100 / 2

Radius = 50cm

Area = πr²

Area = 3.14 × (50)²

Area = 3.14 × 2500

Area = 7850cm²

4. Radius = 500mm

Area = πr²

Area = 3.14 × (500)²

Area = 3.14 × 250,000

Area = 785,000mm²
