Both mitosis and meiosis are associated with cytokineses. Mitosis is the same as meiosis if Mitosis happens twice.
Both processes include breaking down the nuclear membrane.
They differ because Meiosis has two rounds of genetic separation and cellular division while mitosis only has one of each. In Meiosis, homologous chromosomes separate leading to daughter cells that aren't genetically identical. In Mitosis, the daughter cells are identical to the parent as well as each other.  <span />

Which group is more likely to survive significant environmental change, one like black-footed ferrets with almost no variation o
Shkiper50 [21]
Mountain lions with lots of variation because variation is important for species’ survival. If there is an environmental change that negatively affects organisms with a certain trait, variation can insure that the entire species will not be wiped out because some organisms within that species might not have that trait and can survive.
