Correct question:

A 0.10 M solution of Na2HPO4 could be made a buffer solution with all of the following EXCEPT ________.

K3PO4

Na3PO4

H3PO4

NaH2PO4

Answer:

K3PO4

Explanation:

A buffer is an aqueous solution that can resist large changes in pH by virtue of its components, which is a weak acid and its conjugate base, or a weak base and its conjugate acid.

In other words, they should be conjugate acid of the weak base or conjugate base of the weak acid.

Na2HPO4 could function as a weak monobasic acid to give out its proton to form Na2PO4- and this could also be represented by the Na3PO4...which is the salt of the weak acid.

It could also function as a base by accepting proton to form NaH2PO4 which is the conjugate acid (if Na2HPO4 functions as base). They are a conjugate pair.

This is the same reason with H3PO4 which is the Conjugate acid of Na2HPO4.

So it could be a conjugate pair with those 3, except K3PO4.

The nh2cl model consists of balls and sticks. the electrons in the molecule are paired, and each stick represents a valence elec
tangare [24]

Valence electrons in NH2Cl:

=1(5)*2(1)*1(7)

=14

So there are 14 valence electrons in NH2Cl

As each stick represents an valence electron pair.

And there are 14 valence electrons, so there can be 7 valence electron pairs.

And for 7 valence electron pairs, 7 sticks needed.

Andrews [41]

Answer:

a) f = 3.02x10¹⁵ s⁻¹, and λ = 99.4 nm.

b) 99.4 nm

Explanation:

a) The energy of radiation is given by:

E = h*f

Where h is the Planck constant (6.626x10⁻³⁴ J.s), and f is the frequency. To have the highest frequency, the energy must be the highest too, because they're directly proportional. So we must use E = -E1 = 20x10⁻¹⁹ J

20x10⁻¹⁹ = 6.626x10⁻³⁴xf

f = 3.02x10¹⁵ s⁻¹

The wavelenght is the velocity of light (3.00x10⁸ m/s) divided by the frequency:

λ = 3.00x10⁸/3.02x10¹⁵

λ = 9.94x10⁻⁸ m = 99.4 nm

b) To have the shortest wavelength, it must be the highest energy and frequency, so it would be the same as the letter a) 99.4 nm.

Protons,neutrons,and electrons
ddd [48]
Protons, Electrons, and Neutrons are all parts of atoms, the electrons are on the outside rings of the atom, with the neutrons and electrons on the inside of the atom. The electrons are negatively charged, while the protons are positively charged and the neutrons no charge/neutral. Let me know if you would like to learn more!
