Answer:

In number 1:

m = 10/3

b = 19

Step-by-step explanation:

To find the answers to these, simply look to the coefficient of x and the constant at the end of the equation. The number attached to x is always m (which is known as the slope). The number at the end is b (or the y-intercept).

What do i need to do thankss a bunch lovely
mrs_skeptik [129]
1. The slope-intercept form is y=mx+b.  It tells you the slope (m) and the y-intercept (b).  So, for example, if you had y=3x+5 then your slope is 3 and your y-intercept is 5.

2. If it is a function the x values or domain, cannot repeat.  In an input/output table, that would be the input side so if any of those values repeat it is not a function.

3. y=x+4  I got that by finding the slope (\frac{4-3}{1-0} = \frac{1}{1} =1) and we know that the y-intercept is (0,4) so we can plug in y=1x+4 and you can drop the 1.

Hope all this helps

The data represents the results for a test for a certain disease. Assume one individual from the group is randomly selected. Fin
Zepler [3.9K]

Answer: 8/145

Step-by-step explanation: Rewriting the table

Positive and Negative stand for the result of the test

Yes and No stand for having the disease

          Positive       |      Negative     | Total

<u>Yes </u><u>  |     137           |             8           |   145</u>

<u>No  </u><u>  |       16           |            139        |    155</u>

<u>Total</u><u> |     153           |            147        |   300</u>

<u />

probability of getting someone who tests negative, given that he or she had the disease.

P(Negative | Yes) = <u>P(Negative ∩ Yes)</u> = <u> 8 </u>

                                        P(Yes)              145

What is the area of the trapezoid?
Natali [406]

A trapezoid is a quadrilateral with one pair of parallel sides. The formula for the area of a trapezoid is ↓

Area = \frac{1}{2} (base 1 + base 2) h

The bases of the trapezoid are the parallel sides.

In the trapezoid shown, the bases are 22.2 cm and 8.52 cm and the height of the trapezoid is 9.86 cm. Now, we can plug these numbers into our formula.

\frac{1}{2} (22.2 cm + 8.52 cm) (9.86 cm)

Next, the order of operations tells us that we need to simplify inside the parentheses first. 22.2 + 8.52 = 30.72 cm

\frac{1}{2} (30.72 cm) (9.86 cm)

\frac{1}{2} × 30.72 = 15.36

(15.36 cm) (9.86 cm) = 151.4496 cm²
