I think C because parallel lines would have the same gradient or slope. If they were perpendicular the product of their slopes would be -1. Also parallel lines don’t intercept one another, but these equations can be solved for unique x and y which is their point of intersection.

Perform the indicated operation (25m2 - 20m + 4) ÷ (5m - 2)
morpeh [17]

Hey there! :)

Answer:

5m - 2.

Step-by-step explanation:

We can use long division to divide the two expressions:

             5m - 2

5m - 2 | 25m² - 20m + 4

            25m² - 10m

           -

            0m² - 10m + 4

                    -10m  + 4

                  -

                      0

The quotient of this operation is 5m - 2.

5(x-3)-4(x-3) is equivalent to
Katen [24]

Answer:

5\left(x-3\right)-4\left(x-3\right)=x-3

Step-by-step explanation:

Given the expression

5\left(x-3\right)-4\left(x-3\right)

solving the expression

5\left(x-3\right)-4\left(x-3\right)=5x\:-\:15\:-\:4x\:+\:12

                               = x - 3

Thus, the equivalent expression is

5\left(x-3\right)-4\left(x-3\right)=x-3

is the total cost to fill a car gas tank a direct or inverse variation with respect to the number of gallons used ?...
KIM [24]

Answer: Direct variation

<u>Step-by-step explanation:</u>

Let y represent the total cost and x represent the number of gallons.

Assume gas cost $5 per gallon.  How would you decide how much to pay?

y = 5x   -->    \dfrac{y}{x}=5 which is direct variation

Triangle MNO is a right triangle with one leg = 15ft and the other leg = 18ft. Calculate the
NISA [10]

Answer:

Length of the hypotenuse = 23.43ft

Step-by-step explanation:

First leg = 15ft

Second leg = 18ft

Length of the hypotenuse = ?

In a right angle triangle,

Hypotenuse^2 = opposite^2 + Adjacent^2

Let first leg and second leg of the triangle be opposite and adjacent respectively

Hypotenuse^2 = opposite^2 + Adjacent^2

= 15^2 + 18^2

= 225 + 324

= 549

Hypotenuse^2 = 549

Find the square root of both sides

√Hypotenuse^2 = 549

Hypotenuse = 23.43ft to the nearest of a hundredth

Length of the hypotenuse = 23.43ft
