Assuming that no transversal line is present, I can present only the statements base on the figures of a parallelogram. A parallelogram is a <span>quadrilateral. They only differ on the number of their parallel sides. A square has 2 parallel sides and all of its sides are equal or the same. A rhombus has 2 parallel sides and all of its sides are equal or only two of its sides are equal. A rectangle has 2 parallel sides. One parallel side is the same and can be bigger or smaller than the other parallel side. Trapezoid has only one pair of parallel sides. The other pair is a mirror to the other. </span>

2[3x-(4x-6)]=5(x-6)<br>Solve and answer the linear equation.
OleMash [197]

Answer: x = 6

<u>Step-by-step explanation:</u>

2[3x - (4x - 6)] = 5(x - 6)

2[3x - 4x + 6] = 5x - 30

2[-x + 6] = 5x - 30

-2x + 12 = 5x - 30

<u>+2x        </u>  <u>+2x        </u>

        12 = 7x - 30

      <u>+30 </u>  <u>      +30 </u>

        42 = 7x

         \frac{42}{7} = \frac{7x}{7}

          6 = x

3. The Food Marketing Institute shows that 17% of households spend more than $100 per week on groceries. Assume the population p
damaskus [11]

Answer:

A)sample proportion = 0.17,  the sampling distribution of p can be calculated/approximated with normal distribution of sample proportion = 0.17 and standard error/deviation = 0.013281

B) 0.869

C)0.9668

Step-by-step explanation:

A) p ( proportion of population that spends more than $100 per week) = 0.17

sample size (n)= 800

the sample proportion of p = 0.17

standard error of p = \sqrt{\frac{p(1-p)}{n} } = 0.013281

the sampling distribution of p can be calculated/approximated with

normal distribution of sample proportion = 0.17 and standard error/deviation = 0.013281

B) probability that the sample proportion will be +-0.02 of the population proportion

= p (0.17 - 0.02 ≤ P ≤ 0.17 + 0.02 ) = p( 0.15 ≤ P ≤ 0.19)

z value corresponding to P

Z = \frac{P - p}{standard deviation}

at P = 0.15

Z =  (0.15 - 0.17) / 0.013281 = = -1.51

at P = 0.19

z = ( 0.19 - 0.17) / 0.013281 = 1.51

therefore the required probability will be

p( -1.5 ≤ z ≤ 1.5 ) = p(z ≤ 1.51 ) - p(z ≤ -1.51 )

                           = 0.9345 - 0.0655 = 0.869

C) for a sample (n ) = 1600

standard deviation/ error = 0.009391 (applying the equation for calculating standard error as seen in part A above)

therefore the required probability after applying

z = \frac{P-p}{standard deviation} at p = 0.15 and p = 0.19

p ( -2.13 ≤ z ≤ 2.13 ) = p( z ≤ 2.13 ) - p( z ≤ -2.13 )

                               = 0.9834 - 0.0166 = 0.9668

A used car dealer sells SUVs and cars. Of all the vehicles, 90% are cars. Of all the vehicles 40% are red cars. What is the prob
AleksAgata [21]

Answer:

44.4%

Step-by-step explanation:

To calculate this, we proceed as follows.

we use the probability equation below;

P(A|B) = P(A and B) / P(B)

Applying the above to the scenario at hand;

P(red | car) = P(red and car) / P(car)

P(red and car) = 40% or simply 40/100 = 0.4

P(car) = 90% = 90/100 = 0.9

P(red | car) = 0.4/0.9

P(red | car) = 0.4444 which is = 44.44% ; to the nearest tenth of a percent = 44.4%

В рулоне 32 метров ткани. Отрезали одну восьмую часть. Сколько
chubhunter [2.5K]

Answer:

28 meters

Step-by-step explanation:

<u><em>The question in English is</em></u>

On a 32-meter roll of fabric, it cuts an eighth of the total. How many meters of fabric are left in a roll?

step 1

we know that

To find out how many meters of fabric were cut, multiply the total meters by the fraction that was cut

32(\frac{1}{8})=4\ m

step 2

To find out how many meters of fabric are left, subtract the meters of fabric that were cut from the total meters of fabric

so

32-4=28\ m
