<u>Answer:</u>

<u>\frac {3} {8}</u>

<u>Step-by-step explanation:</u>

Maria ate a quarter of a whole pie = \frac{1}{4}

Left over pie = 1 - \frac {1} {4} = \frac {3} {4}

Edwin ate 1/3 of what was left = \frac {1} {4} * \frac {3} {4} = \frac {3} {16}

Left over pie = \frac{3}{4} - \frac{3}{16} =\frac{9}{16}

Cristina ate 1/3 of what was left = \frac{1}{3}*\frac{9}{16}=\frac{3}{16}

Left over pie = \frac{9}{16} - \frac {3} {16} = \frac {6} {16} = \frac {3} {8}

After Martha ate 1/4 of the pie there is 3/4 left.

Edwin ate 1/4 of 3/4.

so multiply 1/4 and 3/4 ---> 1/4*3/4=3/16

to find the leftover subtract 3/16 from 3/4

3/4-3/16

12/16-3/16=9/16

Christina ate 1/3 of 9/16

multiply 1/3 by 9/16

1/3*9/16=3/16

find the leftover by subtracting 3/16 from 9/16

9/16-3/16=6/16

divide by 2

3/8

<span>Express 10 pints to 29 pints in simplest form.
The answer is 10/29 since 10 and 29 don't have a common factor to divide them both with. As a result, they stay as is 10/29 in already the simplest form. A is also in simplest form. B is in improper fraction form, also in simple form, can be turned into mixed number form. C is also in simplest form. The best answer is D since 10 pints to 29 pints is the instructions.</span>

What is the probability of rolling a 1 with a number cube that has the numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 and tossing heads with a coi
Helga [31]
Probablity is (desired outcomes)/(total) possible outcomes so the dice 1 is desired and the total poassible outcomes is 6 since 6 numbers so probailty of rolling a 1 is 1/6 then flippin heads desired outcome=1 total possible=2 probabilty is 1/2 so we have 1/6 and 1/2 now we mulitply them 1/6 times 1/2=1/12 the answer is A

Vika [28.1K]

Answer:

\fbox{8x+36}

Step-by-step explanation:

1. Use the distributive property to write the problem without parentheses. The distributive property says that you can multiply a number next to parentheses by all the numbers inside parentheses. The picture below explains.

4(2x+9)=\\\\(4*2x)+(4*9)=\\\\4(2x+9)= 8x+36

Therefore, your answer is

\fbox{8x+36}
