If BD is bisector of <ABC
then
AD = CD and AB = AC
so
5x - y = x + 13y
simplify
4x = 14y
and
2x + y = 14 +y

2x + y = 14 +y
 2x = 14
     x = 7

substitute x = 7 into 4x = 14y

4x = 14y
4(7) = 14y
28 = 14y
  y = 2

answer
y = 2

State 5.126 to two decimal places
Kryger [21]

Answer:

5.13

Step-by-step explanation:

Look at the number at the end, and if it's 5 or more, round up. the 6 is greater than or equal to 5, so you round up, dropping the six and making the 2 into a 3, giving you 5.13.

Determine the slope of the line 5x + 3y + 12 = 0 .
vazorg [7]
Put ur equation in y = mx + b form because the slope will be in the m position.

5x + 3y + 12 = 0
3y = -5x - 12
y = -5/3x - 4

y = mx + b
y = -5/3x + (-4)......as u can see, the number in the m position (the slope) is -5/3 <===

                                         Three friends are renting
nexus9112 [7]

It is given that:

Monthly Rent = A

Total Money Paid to Landlord = Y

The landlord requires initial payment to include:

  • 1st month's rent
  • \frac{1}{2} month's rent or 50% of monthly rent for Security Deposit
  • 40% of monthly rent for  utility bills
  • 5% of monthly rent for health club
  • 13% of monthly rent per person for other services

Also, Total Amount Paid to the Landlord = $2574

Number of People Sharing the Apartment = 3

Basis the above information,

Y = (100% * A) + (50% * A) + (40% * A) + (5% * A) + (13% * A * 3)

⇒ Y = A + (0.5 * A) + (0.4 * A) + (0.05 * A) + (0.39 * A)

⇒ Y = A + (0.5 * A) + (0.4 * A) + (0.05 * A) + (0.39 * A)

⇒ Y = 2.34 * A

Substituting the value of Y to determine A

⇒ 2,574 = 2.34 * A

⇒ A = 1,100

Hence, the monthly rent is $1,100

What is a fraction equivalent to -6/1 ?
jek_recluse [69]

Answer:

Fractions are equivalent if their simplest forms are the same. So, to make equivalent fractions, all you have to do is multiply the top number (the numerator) and the bottom number (the denominator) by the same number—and it can be any number, as long as you use the same one for both the top and bottom.

Step-by-step explanation:
