George Orwell gives examples of bad writing in the essay “Politics and the English Language.” Choose two examples from the essay
skad [1K]

1. In my perspective, the quality of writing has diminished in recent years as a result of larger and more accessible platforms, as well as a lack of literary authority, which allows anyone to write and publish a book.

2.  I believe Orwell’s criticism is valid.

3. I believe his examples are given systematically and accurately.

4. I do believe that people are writing in similar way now and that mostly is a problem.

Who is George Orwell?

George Orwell, born Eric Arthur Blair, was an English novelist, essayist, journalist, and critic.

Authors of modern prose or poetry ignore the text and instead string together clichéd words or phrases: "...prose includes less and less of words chosen for their meaning, and more and more of sentences glued together like prefabricated hen-house parts."

In my opinion, Orwell's criticism in "Politics and the English Language" is justified. This is a problem not only in English language and literature, but in all languages and literatures around the world. As a result, Orwell is correct in criticising modern society for allowing language to degenerate.

In this article, Orwell carefully and accurately identifies faults in the English language and modern literature and provides suitable examples to support his claims. Orwell quotes or produces instances to substantiate his points.

Most of Orwell's major concerns about society's evolution come true, including the deterioration of language and are, which is not curable.
