Hello LovingAngel!

To find the slope, you can use the formulas \frac{rise}{run} as well as \frac{y^2-y^1}{x^2 - x^1}. I am using the latter to calculate and ensuring my answer with the former.

[Note: (x,y) is the format for ordered pairs]

First pair:  value 1:(1,5) and value 2:(2,8)
\frac{y^2-y^1}{x^2 - x^1} -> \frac{8 - 5}{2 - 1} -> \frac{3}{1} or 3.

The slope for (1,5) and (2,8) is 3(/1).

Second pair: value 1: (3,1) value 2 (3,-1)

\frac{y^2-y^1}{x^2 - x^1} -> \frac{-1 - 1}{3 - 3} -> \frac{-2}{0}
Slope for the second pair is -2/0

Checking work with \frac{rise}{run}
1. Slope: 3/1, meaning rise (y) +3 and run (x) +1.  (1,5) -> (1+1,5 + 3) -> (2,8) ✔
2. Slope: -2/0, meaning rise (y) -2/drop (y) 2 and run 0. (3,1) -> (3 + 0, 1 + -2) -> (3,-1) <span>✔</span>

Answer:

22. 10^10

8 Billion has 9 zeros and 10 to the power 10 means there is a total of 10 zeros. So 10 zeros is more closer to 9 zeros than that of 11 zeros.

23.Exponential form is when a certain number is raised to the power of a certain number or also known as exponents. Exponents signifies that the base or the number that is being raised to a certain powers will be multiplied a number of times, based on the exponents.

Exponential form is defined as repeated multiplication of  the base.

Alenkinab [10]
f(d)=ad^2+b100+10\\&#10;f(d)=ad^2+100b+10\\&#10;ad^2=f(d)-100b-10\\&#10;a=\dfrac{f(d)-100b-10}{d^2}

there are multiple chickens and rabbits in a cage. There are 72 heads and 200 feet inside the cage. How many chickens are in the
mezya [45]
44 chicken and 28 rabbits

Given:
chicken head + rabbit head = 72 heads
chicken feet + rabbit feet = 200 feet

c + r = 72
2c + 4r = 200

find the value of c using the 1st equation:
c = 72 - r

substitute c by its value in the 2nd equation:
2c + 4r = 200
2(72-r) + 4r = 200
144 - 2r + 4r = 200
2r = 200 - 144
2r = 56
r = 56/2
r = 28

c = 72 - r
c = 72 - 28
c = 44

c = 44 ; r = 28

To check:
2c + 4r = 200
2(44) + 4(28) = 200
88 + 112 = 200
200 = 200
