.00 for shipping regardless of the size of the order. The band must spend less than $200.00 on bars for the fundraiser. The inequality below relates x, the number of bars that could be ordered, with the shipping costs and their spending requirements.
0.40x + 20 < 200

Which best describes the number of bars the band can order?
They can order from 0 to 449 bars, but no more. They can order from 0 to 450 bars, but no more.Their order must contain 451 bars or more.Their order must contain 452 bars or more.

Answer: They can order from 0 to 449 bars, but no more.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given: The school band is ordering health bars to sell for a fundraiser. The company that sells the bars charges $0.40 per bar plus $20.00 for shipping regardless of the size of the order. The band must spend less than $200.00 on bars for the fundraiser.

The inequality below relates x, the number of bars that could be ordered, with the shipping costs and their spending requirements.

0.40x+20

To solve for x,  subtract 20 on both sides, we get

0.40x

Divide 0.40 on both sides, we get

x......... → the number of  bars that could be ordered, with the shipping costs and their spending requirements must less than 450.

Thus, they can order from 0 to 449 bars, but no more.

Hello!

You can solve this like a algebraic expression

0.40x + 20 < 200

Subtract 20 from both sides

0.40x < 180

Divide both sides by 0.40

x < 450

So the band can but no more than 449 heath bars

Hope this helps!

Question 4(Multiple Choice Worth 1 points) (08.01 LC) What are the x-intercepts of the parabola? graph of parabola falling from
gulaghasi [49]

Answer:

(4, 0) and (5, 0)

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

See attachment for graph

Required

The x intercepts

This is the point where y = 0

From the graph, we have the following as the x-intercepts:

(x_1,y_1) = (4,0)

(x_2,y_2) = (5,0)

Because the curve crosses the x-axis at the above points

A television game show has 11 doors, of which the contestant must pick 3. Behind 3 of the doors are expensive cars, and behind
bezimeni [28]

For there to be 1 car, we consider two possible outcomes:

The first door opened has a car or the second door opened has a car.

P(1 car) = 2/6 x 4/5 + 4/6 x 2/5

P(1 car) = 8/15

For there to be no car in either door

P(no car) = 4/6 x 3/5

P(no car) = 2/5

Probability of at least one car is the sum of the probability of one car and probability of two cars:

P(2 cars) = 2/6 x 1/5

= 1/15

P(1 car) + P(2 cars) = 8/15 + 1/15

= 3/5
