Why do objects in equilibrium have a net force of 0?
lianna [129]

Answer:

Because there is no net force acting o an object in equilibrium.

Explanation:

When object is in equilibrium (either at rest or moving with constant velocity, the net force acting o it is zero.A vector can only have zero magnitude fall of its components are zero this means that all forces acting on the object are balanced.

Name one advantage and one disadvantage of the prepaid electricity system.
Doss [256]

Answer:

The system prevents a consumer from accruing debt via electricity use, as it only allows the customer to use electricity which has been paid for upfront.

this gives the advantage of not allowing the consumer to rack up debt

the disadvantage for the consumer comes when they cannot afford to prepay in a time of financial difficulty - as the system now renders them as having no electricity as well as no money

A circular copper loop is placed perpendicular to a uniform magnetic field of 0.50 T. Due to external forces, the area of the lo
pogonyaev

Answer:

6.3\cdot 10^{-4} V

Explanation:

According to Faraday-Newmann-Lenz, the induced emf in the loop is given by:

\epsilon=-\frac{\Delta \Phi}{\Delta t} (1)

where \frac{\Delta \Phi}{\Delta t} is the rate of variation of the magnetic flux through the loop.

We know that the magnetic flux through the loop is given by

\Phi = BA

where B is the magnetic field and A is the area of the loop. Since the magnetic field is constant, we can write the variation of flux as

\Delta \Phi = B \Delta A

So eq.(1) becomes

\epsilon=-B\frac{\Delta A}{\Delta t}

and the problem gives us:

B=0.50 T is the magnetic field

\frac{\Delta \Phi}{\Delta t}=-1.26\cdot 10^{-3} m^2/s is the rate at which the area changes

Substituting into the equation, we find

\epsilon=-(0.50 T)(-1.26\cdot 10^{-3} m^2/s)=6.3\cdot 10^{-4} V=0.63 mV

Who has the greater velocity, an astronaut who has just completed an orbit of the Earth or you when you have just traveled from
Alik [6]

Answer:

the answer is

Explanation:

constant acceleration

because when the object's velocity is changing then the object is accelerating or decelerating

as acceleration describe changing of velocity so the answer is constant acceleration

Acceleration is defined as the rate of change of velocity.

Acceleration = (Change in velocity) / time taken

Acceleration = (Final velocity - initial velocity) / time

As the object velocity changes by the same amount in each second, it means the acceleration is constant.

What is the difference between a negative feedback system and a positive feedback system?
Anni [7]

Answer:

D

Explanation:

The negative feedback is responsible for maintaining equilibrium (stability) in a system as it lessens effects, which is contrary to positive feedback which increases reaction and moves a system further away from equilibrium (stability), It does so by amplifying the effects of a product or event and occurs when something needs to happen quickly. e.g

  • Insulin lowers down blood sugar levels, so when the body detects that it has too much sugar, the pancreas is prompted to release insulin and only stops when balance is achieved; hence, negative feedback.
  •  When there is a tear on the skin, a chemical is released. This chemical causes platelets in the blood to activate, hence they release a chemical which signals more platelets to activate, until the wound is clotted, positive feedback.
