What is the difference between a negative feedback system and a positive feedback system?

Physics

Answer:

D

Explanation:

The negative feedback is responsible for maintaining equilibrium (stability) in a system as it lessens effects, which is contrary to positive feedback which increases reaction and moves a system further away from equilibrium (stability), It does so by amplifying the effects of a product or event and occurs when something needs to happen quickly. e.g

  • Insulin lowers down blood sugar levels, so when the body detects that it has too much sugar, the pancreas is prompted to release insulin and only stops when balance is achieved; hence, negative feedback.
  •  When there is a tear on the skin, a chemical is released. This chemical causes platelets in the blood to activate, hence they release a chemical which signals more platelets to activate, until the wound is clotted, positive feedback.

PLEASE ANSWER ASAP!! Is a spring force a balanced force? Please, please help!
Jobisdone [24]

Explanation:

The forces acting on a massless object (spring, hook, string or wire, if considered massless) will always balance. Balanced forces acting on an object cause it to compress or stretch. The forces acting on a mass will never cancel.

A truck traveling at 100 km/hr strikes an unfortunate bug and splatters it. The acceleration resulting from the impact is:______
KATRIN_1 [288]

Answer:

<h2>b. Greater for the bug</h2>

Explanation:

The conservation of linear momentum states that the momentum before impact equals the momentum after impact

Also, when two objects collide,  the change of momentum of particles m1 and m2 are equal in magnitude and opposite in sign and the total momentum change equals zero. Hence during a collision, Each object experiences the same force for the same amount of time, leading to the same impulse, and subsequently the same momentum change. in general, it is only the acceleration and the velocity components that differ for the two objects during the interaction.

Consequently, The object with the least mass always receives the greatest velocity change and acceleration.

The emf of a battery is equal to its terminal potential difference: A) under all conditions B) only when the battery is being ch
velikii [3]

Answer:

option (C)

Explanation:

EMF stand for electro motive force. the emf of a battery is the potential between the two electrodes when it is not use in the circuit.

The terminal potential difference is the potential difference between the electrodes of a cell when it is in use.

EMF is only when the current is very large in the battery.

A capacitor is connected to an ac generator that has a frequency of 3.4 kHz and produces a voltage of 2.0 V. The current in the
garik1379 [7]

Answer:

V_G=3.302857143V

Explanation:

Let´s find the capacitor impedance:

V=IZ_C

Using the data provided:

Z_C=\frac{V}{I}=\frac{2}{0.035}=57.14285714 Ω

Now let´s find the capacitance:

Z_C=\frac{1}{j2\pi fC }

C=\frac{1}{j2\pi fZ_C} =\frac{1}{j2\pi (3400)(57.14285714)}= 0.8191798542 μF

We can calculate the capacitor impedance for the second case:

Z_C=\frac{1}{j2\pi fC}=\frac{1}{j2\pi (5000)(0.8191798542X10^{-6}) }=38.85714285 Ω

Finally we can calculate the voltage of the second generator:

V_G=IZ_C=(0.085)(38.85714285)=3.302857143V
