The length of a rectangular garden is 6 feet longer than its width. The garden's perimeter is 180 feet. Find the length of the g
slavikrds [6]
Perimeter is all sides added up together. So as you don't know a side's length you can put it as x and make an equation.
x + x + x + 6 + x + 6 = 180
4x +12 = 180
4x = 180 - 12
4x = 168
x = 168/4
x = 42
as length is 6 feet longer than width length is equal to 42 + 6 = 48 feet

BartSMP [9]

Answer:

1). a = 9.42 m

2). b = 6.37 m

3). c = 4.48 m

Step-by-step explanation:

In the figure attached,

By applying tangent rule in triangle ADE,

tan47 = \frac{h}{c}

c = \frac{h}{\text{tan}47}

c = \frac{4.8}{\text{tan}47}

c = 4.476

c ≈ 4.48 m

Now we apply the same rule in triangle ACE,

tan37° = \frac{h}{b}

b = \frac{h}{\text{tan}37}

b = \frac{4.8}{1.0724}

b = 6.37 m

Now apply the tangent in triangle ABE,

tan27° = \frac{h}{a}

a = \frac{h}{\text{tan}27}

a = \frac{4.8}{0.5095}

a = 9.42 m

Write the polynomial as a product: p^2q+r^2–pqr–pr<br> Thanks so much! Love you all who help!
Anarel [89]
Factor the equation so...
(r^2-pr) and (p^2q-pqr)

Factor out (r^2-pr) = r(r-p)
Factor out (p^2q-pqr) = pq(p-r)

Add a negative to r(r-p) to make it -r(p-r)

(pq-r)(p-r) is the answer...  I'm sorry I can't explain things well, but I tried.

At what point does the line given by the following equation cross the y-axis? y = (6/9)X + 9
Elodia [21]

Answer:

D

Step-by-step explanation:

the equation of a line in slope- intercept form is

y = mx + c ( m is the slope and c the y- intercept )

y = \frac{6}{9} x + 9 ← is in slope- intercept form

with y- intercept c = 9

then the line crosses the y- axis at (0, 9 )
