So there are two ways I see this problem.

First as trick question kinda, due to the fact that it is a word problem and the way it is setup would make me think the answer is 0,0. You don't pay anything for 0 crates.

The other way is by graphing it.
We can take the points and just plug it into y=xm+b

First lets solve for for m= \frac{y2-y1}{x2-x1}

putting in point one and two on the table here gives us 10

The problem here is we don't know the Y intercept which makes finding the equation a tad harder, we are going to have to find to find that as well. It is pretty simple though we can just plug in a random point to make it a solvable problem 25=2*10+b
. We can then work this out to b = 5

From there we have found the equation with it being y=x10+5. Putting that into our graph gives us a Y intercept of 5 and a X intercept of -0.5.

Sorry if I went a bit far there, hope you can figure the problem with one of those.

4. Can two lines be parallel and perpendicular? Explain.
lidiya [134]

Answer: No

Step-by-step explanation: First, we need to understand that parallel lines are coplanar lines that do not intersect. On the other hand, perpendicular lines are lines that intersect at a right angle.

However, lines can't be both parallel and perpendicular because they either intersect each other at a right angle or never intersect.

So no, two lines can't be both parallel and perpendicular.
