It can't be for sure a perpendicular bisector cuz you don't know what kind of triangle you are dealing with so that one's out.  It's not necessarily an angle bisector either for the same reason. A median means that PS will go through the opposite side right in the center, and again, depending upon what type of triangle you have, this could be true...So it is an altitude, which is like a height of a triangle. It drops down from a vertex and forms a right angle with wherever it goes through. So D.

Find p and q for which the linear eqn has infinite solutions
jekas [21]

Answer:

p= 2.5

q= 7

Step-by-step explanation:

The lines should overlap to have infinite solutions, slopes should be same and y-intercepts should be same.

Equations in slope- intercept form:

6x-(2p-3)y-2q-3=0 ⇒ (2p-3)y= 6x -2q-3 ⇒ y= 6/(2p-3)x -(2q+3)/(2p-3)

12x-( 2p-1)y-5q+1=0 ⇒ (2p-1)y= 12x - 5q+1 ⇒  y=12/(2p-1)x - (5q-1)/(2p-1)

Slopes equal:

6/(2p-3)= 12/(2p-1)

6(2p-1)= 12(2p-3)

12p- 6= 24p - 36

12p= 30

p= 30/12

p= 2.5

y-intercepts equal:

(2q+3)/(2p-3)= (5q-1)/(2p-1)

(2q+3)/(2*2.5-3)= (5q-1)/(2*2.5-1)

(2q+3)/2= (5q-1)/4

4(2q+3)= 2(5q-1)

8q+12= 10q- 2

2q= 14

q= 7

Digiron [165]

Answer: 1211.6585 years

<u>Step-by-step explanation:</u>

The equation for exponential growth is: P=P_oe^{kt}

  • P: final population
  • P₀: initial population
  • k: rate of decay (or growth)
  • t: time

Use the half life information to find k:

\dfrac{1}{2}P_o=P_oe^{k(800)}\\\\\\\dfrac{1}{2}=e^{800k}\qquad \rightarrow \qquad \text{divided both sides by}\ P_o\\\\\\ln\bigg(\dfrac{1}{2}\bigg)=800k\qquad \rightarrow \qquad \text{applied ln to both sides}\\\\\\\dfrac{ln(\frac{1}{2})}{800}=k\qquad \rightarrow \qquad \text{divided both sides by 800}\\\\\\\large\boxed{-0.000867=k}

Next, input the information (65% decayed = 35% remaining) and the k-value to find your answer.

.35P_o=P_oe^{-0.000867t}\\\\\\.35=e^{-0.000867t}\\\\\\ln(.35)=-0.000867t\\\\\\\dfrac{ln(.35)}{-0.000867}=t\\\\\\\large\boxed{1211.6585=t}

kiruha [24]

Answer:

5:00 pm

Step-by-step explanation:
