Answer:

Another probable reason Grendel wanted to hurt the Danes is because he had been exiled to live in the swamp lands away from the humans.

Explanation:

Grendel is a character in the epic story "Beowulf". He is depicted as a monster who hated and killed many of the Danish people. He hated the Danes in their merrymaking and their enjoyment of their lives.

But another reason for his hatred of the Danes may be the ostracizing and exile that he and his mother were subjected to. They are not allowed to live among the humans, but rather made to survive in the swamp lands away from any human interaction. His loneliness and jealousy of the interaction and social life in comparison with his lonely existence makes up the root of his hatred for the humans.

Steven has come to terms with his mortality, accepted responsibility for his existence, and knows that he determines what happen
yan [13]

Answer:

Existentialists would say that Steven is attaining authentic existence.

Explanation:

Existentialism is a philosophical theory which views the individual's existence as free and views him/her as able of determining his own will and choices throughout life.

Existential authenticity is the state of being, of taking charge of one's own emotions, relationships, sensations, etc. It is when an individual knows his/her being and is able to choose through free will.

In this case, Steven is attaining this because he has come to terms with his morality and he has accepted his responsibilities for his existence, as well as understanding that he is able to determine what happens in his life.
