Answer:

The quadratic function Y(x)=3x^2-2

Step-by-step explanation:

Graphing those point we can observe that if we joint each point,it has a parabolic form, that is a quadratic model, so:

y(x)=Ax^2+B

When X is zero Y is -2, so:

-2=A(0)^2+B\\B=-2

If we take any point of the set we can obtain the value of A, taking (2, 10) we have:

10=A(2)^2+(-2)\\A=\frac{12}{4}=3

so the function is:

Y(x)=3x^2-2

To  graph these set of points you put x first (horizontal line) then y second (vertical line) example (-2,10) you would start in the middle then go to the left twice then 10 you go up 10 from that -2 spot

hope i helped you!

What is the equation, in point-slope form, for a line that goes through (2, −6)(2, −6) and has a slope of −34−34 ?
Keith_Richards [23]
The answer is the last one option: y+6=-34(x+2). I told you the reason in the other similar question.

Solve for x<br> 176 = 14x + x^2
Wewaii [24]
X^2+14x-176=0
(x+22)(x-8)
x=-22,8
This is because the 2 numbers in the factorisation must have multiple of 176& and a sum of 14

How do i solve y= -5 in lines in the xy plane ? im confused .
Ilia_Sergeevich [38]

Answer:

see the explanation

Step-by-step explanation:

we know that

The equation of a horizontal line is equal to the y-coordinate of the point that passes through it

In this problem we have

y=-5

This is a horizontal line (parallel to the x-axis)

The slope of this line is equal to zero

so

All points that pass through the line will have the same y-coordinate equal to -5

see the attached figure to better understand the problem
