A cell can only grow so large in size because its ability to exchange materials is affected by a growing surface-to-volume ratio. Nature designed cells to be small in size because of the network of membranes passing through it. If cells grow any bigger, membranes in it will not be able to pass through its different parts and perform their purpose.

A cell is a network composed of many organelles (e.g. mitochondria, nucleus), that communicate and work together to provide bodily functions. The cell is small so that communication between organelles will be faster and much easier. When cells are small they can be easily repaired when damaged and replicated when needed.

The intestinal phase of stomach digestion is triggered by partially digested nutrients filling the pylorus.
Mrac [35]
The statement is false.
The intestinal phase means the phase that concerns the intestines (the gut) which is located after the stomach in the digestion process, so the intestinal phase does not include the stomach.

Pylorus is located at the end of the stomach, so it is not the part that activates digestion process. It is the fundus.

Now that you know how a nerve impulse transmits through a neuron and into muscle tissue, explain why dehydration caused Joseph's
Setler [38]

Answer:

The sodium channel are unable to open due to dehydration.

Explanation:

Dehydration may be defined as the medical condition in which body water content and fluid loss out from the body. The sodium ions are lost in large amount due to dehydration.

The sodium ions is important for the propagation of action potential. The opening of sodium and potassium channel causes the end plate potential. The lose of sodium ion hinders the opening of sodium channels and causes imbalance in the body. This imbalance and opening of sodium channel at different rate causes muscle cramping in the body.
