There are actually three ways to multiply binomials. I am not sure which ones you covered, so I will just mention the three:

A. Vertical method: Similar to multiplying whole numbers, you line up the given and multiply each term. The partial products should line up with similar terms before you add them together.

B. Distributive: This method uses the distributive property of multiplication. Each term of each binomial will be distributed to the terms of the other.

C. FOIL: Similar to the distributive method. FOIL is a mnemonic which means:

F = First term (Multiply the first terms of each binomial)
O = Outer terms (Multiply the terms that are on the outside)
I = Inner terms (Multiply the terms that are on the inside)
L = Last terms (Multiply the last terms of each binomial)

It is also important to note that the FOIL method works only on binomials. As for distributive and vertical, it can be used on polynomials.

2. Using mnemonics are useful for memorizing. FOIL helps you remember the order in which you will multiply the terms. It is also less confusing than the distributive because it is a shorter process.

Answer:

The answer would be D - (11, -1)

Step-by-step explanation:

You can this by adding 6 to the x-coordinate since it is shifting right and then subtracting 4 units from the y-coordinate.

Shade the grid to represent the ratio 9/25. Then find a percent equivalent to the given ratio.
Amanda [17]

Answer:

The percentage is 36%

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given

Shade the grid to represent the ratio 9/25

so, we have ratio as

=\frac{9}{25}

we know that for finding percent , we multiply ratio by 100

so, we can multiply by 100 here

=\frac{9}{25}\times 100

now, we can simplify it

=9\times 4

=36

So,

The percentage is 36%

g100num [7]

Answer:

the year is 2016

Step-by-step explanation:

The computation is shown below:

Given that

The population in 2009 is 45.1 million

And it would be increased 2.3% each year

So,

In the year 2010 it is = 45.1 million × (1 + 0.023) = $46.14 million

In the year 2011, it is = $46.14 million × (1 + 0.023) =$47.20 million

In the year 2012, it is = $47.20 million × (1 + 0.023) = $48.29 million

In the year 2013, it is = $48.29 million × (1 + 0.023) = $49.40 million

In the year 2014, it is = $49.40 million × (1 + 0.023) = $50.54 million

In the year 2015, it is = $50.54 million × (1 + 0.023) = $51.70 million

In the year 2016, it is = $51.70 million × (1 + 0.023) = $52.89 million

Hence, the year is 2016

Her goal is to walk 10,000 steps each day. She measures her average step length to be 30 inches. If she walks 10,000 steps in a
Vlada [557]

Answer:

4,7 miles

Step-by-step explanation:

The average step length is 30 inches. If she walks 10,000 steps in a day, the distance that she will walk, in inches, is:

10,000 step × (30 in/1 step) = 300,000 in

1 mile is equivalent to 63,360 inches. The miles corresponding to 300,000 inches are:

300,000 in × (1 mi/63,360 in) = 4,7 mi
