Answer:The first law of thermal radiation states that each square meter of a hotter object’s surface emits more light at all wavelengths. What this means is that if you compare two objects that are giving off heat, and one object is hotter than the other, each square meter of the surface of that object emits more light than the cooler object at every wavelength of light.

Kirchhoff's law of thermal radiation. In heat transfer, Kirchhoff's law of thermal radiation refers to wavelength-specific radiative emission and absorption by a material body in thermodynamic equilibrium, including radiative exchange equilibrium. A body at temperature T radiates electromagnetic energy.

A cell in the testes of a male bald eagle is getting ready to begin meiosis. The diploid number for this bird species is 66. How
Ostrovityanka [42]

Answer:

Replicated chromosomes at metaphase I = 66

Sister chromatids at metaphase I = 66 x 2 = 132

Sister chromatids at prophase II = 66

Chromosomes in each sperm cells = 33

Explanation:

Metaphase I of meiosis I would have 66 replicated chromosomes in the testicular cells of the bird. Each of the replicated chromosomes would have two sister chromatids. So, a total of 66 replicated chromosomes would have 66 x 2 = 132 sister chromatids.

Due to segregation of homologous chromosomes towards opposite poles in anaphase I, each daughter cell formed by the end of meiosis I would have 33 replicated chromosomes. So, each of the daughter cells would have a total 33 x 2 = 66 sister chromatids at prophase II.

Since meiosis II maintains the chromosome number, each sperm cell formed by the end of meiosis II would have 33 chromosomes.

Provide an example of how surface area affects the function of an organ in the human body
Blizzard [7]
Surface area affects the function of an organ in the human body...

In our lungs, there are balloon like structures called alveoli.if we spread our lungs it equals to 80m^2. this large surface area allows lungs to take as much as possible oxygen to carrry respiration so that life processes go on.

1.)Which state withdrew the most groundwater in 2000? What is the greatest use of groundwater? Why is surface freshwater use gen
Luda [366]
1)United States for 2000 was determined from estimates of water withdrawals for the eight categories of public supply, domestic, irrigation, livestock, aquaculture, industrial, mining, and thermoelectric power.<span> total surface-water withdrawals were 323,000 Mgal/d, or 79 percent of the total withdrawals for all categories of use. About 81 percent of surface water withdrawn was freshwater. Total ground-water withdrawals were 84,500 Mgal/d, of which 99 percent was freshwater. Nearly all (98 percent) saline-water withdrawals were from surface water.

2)</span>Large amounts of water are stored in the ground. The water is still moving, possibly very slowly, and it is still part of the water cycle. Most of the water in the ground comes from precipitation that infiltrates downward from the land surface. <span>he term groundwater is used to describe this area. Another term for groundwater is "aquifer," although this term is usually used to describe water-bearing formations capable of yielding enough water to supply peoples' uses. Aquifers are a huge storehouse of Earth's water and people all over the world depend on groundwater in their daily lives.

What are the limitations of the cell theory
kicyunya [14]

Answer:

Explanation:

Viruses are a limitation to cell theory.

According to cell theory, all cells arise from pre - existing cells. But viruses lack any membranes and do not show the characteristics of life unless they enter a living body and use its cell machinery to multiply.
