North Korea is a country with an authoritarian and abusive political regime, although there are no reports of social inequality and violence in the country, all government funding is used for North Korean military and nuclear programs. The result is that other sectors of the country are highly scrapped and inefficient. There are reports that hunger affects 40% of the country's total population and there are many cases of malnutrition and disease.
Education is free but inefficient and poor, the illiteracy rate in the country is high, many children have no energy to study, others need to help their parents get food for their families.
Even those who do not starve have poor and limited living standards with few opportunities. Even soldiers have a very low pay and cannot give a better standard of living to their families.
The North Korean regime only cares about funding military and nuclear programs than boosting their economy. They restrict every freedom and the people in that horrific country are oppressed.
